Rise and shine everyone.
It’s Jobs Friday and the market awaits the last US labor report for the year ahead of the Fed meeting next week. The report is expected at 8:30 am ET. The forecasts are in and consensus expectations are for 180,00 jobs added and a stable unemployment rate at 3.9%. Additional numbers are expected to be added because of the UAW strike. Goldman estimates this to be 38k and we discussed additional details in our last Weekend Edition.

Also of note, the Michigan Consumer Sentiment report, along with inflation expectations is set to be released at 10 am ET time. We saw a dip last month and we’ll be watching closely for any further deterioration.
